We are just on the eve of a week of celebration in the Chickasaw Nation. This year we will celebrate the 48th Annual Chickasaw Festival. I will be bringing many of these events to you through my blog.
Hopefully, you can get a feel for what we are doing as we celebrate this event. You can look forward to several entries this week. I look forward to your comments. This is a picture of my great great grandfather, Solomon Goforth and his wife Mary. One of his sons was Joe Goforth, an attorney in Caddo County during the early part of the 1900’s. My great grandfather, William Goforth, was another of his sons. Wish they could see us now.
If you are having problems leaving comments, be sure to go to the entire that give you step by step instructions. Several have sent comments, and I appreciate those. You are my inspiration to keep blogging.

I know how it is when you want to leave a comment and think that it will take too long to figure it out. Fortunately, WordPress makes it pretty easy. I have visited a few blogs and gave up on commenting because of the difficulty encountered. Hopefully, you can try these steps and leave a comment with ease.
Step 1: double click on the No comments yet
Step 2: the next page will show user name and password, which you do not have yet. Go on to strep three to get a user name and password.
Step 3: check “Get a Free WordPress Account”
Step 4: Fill out the required information. It will ask for your email. When you submit that, WordPress will send you an email, and you can activate your account. At this point, you are ready to leave a comment. Be sure to remember your user name and password.
I hope this helps. If not, email me at judy.parker@chickasaw.netand I will try to give better instructions. Hoping that this generates a comment or two and that you have a wonderful Fall season. It is my favorite time of the year in Oklahoma. I will send you some Fall pictures through a Smilebox, my favorite way to do slide shows.

Wyas and I in front of the hospital.

We found this in an old hospital in Colorado.
I have not had a chance to blog, and that is not a good thing. I keep looking to see if I have any viewers, and you are probably wondering why no new entries. I hope to update you next week about the hospital It is cool in Oklahoma. I mean really cool in Oklahoma. I would say that we are having an early Fall.
You may wonder what this picture is and why it is in a blog and what it has to do with what I usually write about, which is the Chickasaw Nation. I am, after all, a health care provider. We discovered this during the summer while visiting a once upon a time hospital that is now a bed and breakfast. They do not know what this was used for, so I thought that maybe one of you would know. Please write in with your comments and tell me what you think this is.
I will be sending hospital updates. Actually, you can look forward to some Fall pictures soon as well as the upcoming Chickasaw Festival. I appreciate hearing from you, and I also appreciate all visitors to my blog.
